OLI GROWS 15% IN THE FIRST SEMESTER
In the first six months of the year, OLI achieved a turnover of 41.3 million euros (up 15% on the same period 2021), making it the best first semester ever.
From January to June, it was in Europe that OLI continued to leverage its international expansion. In Southern Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece), the main destination for exports, the growth was 11% and in Central Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Albania, Serbia and Poland) the increase was 12% in year-on-year terms.
In the first half of the year, OLI exported to 82 countries on five continents more than 75% of its production – in-wall installation systems, exposed flush cisterns, flush plates, universal mechanisms.
For this year, OLI maintains the objective of achieving a turnover of 80 million euros, which represents a growth of 15% compared to 2021.
"From January to June OLI experienced a period strongly conditioned by price volatility and availability of raw materials, which forced the company to continuously adapt to the different constraints that are always unpredictable. The impact of the war in Ukraine caused a slowdown in exports to Eastern Europe, however OLI continued to intensify its internationalisation strategy and throughout the first half of the year it found new opportunities in various latitudes, such as Egypt," underlines António Ricardo Oliveira, Board Member of OLI.
"Also in the commercial activity, we have accompanied the consolidation of OLI in reference national and international architectural and real estate projects, which reflects the positive perception and added value that the brand gains with prescribers, namely architects."
"In the industrial activity, we proceeded with the expansion of the industrial complex in Aveiro in order to increase installed capacity and logistical efficiency and, consequently, to offer a better response capacity to our customers", says António Ricardo Oliveira.
